Membership Terms

These Terms of Membership govern your use of Make Space, a coworking studio operated by Mosaic Makers Collective LLC ("Make Space," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 514 N Marsalis Ave, Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX 75203. By purchasing a membership or day pass, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Membership Plans

Make Space offers the following membership plans, all billed monthly unless otherwise stated:

Prices are subject to change with 30 days' written notice. Changes will not affect your current billing cycle.

2. Billing and Payment

Monthly memberships are billed on a recurring basis on the same date each month. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By providing your payment details, you authorise Make Space to charge your card on each billing date.

Day passes and 5-Day Packs are charged as one-time or monthly purchases respectively. 5-Day Pack days do not roll over between billing periods.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment is not received within 7 days, your membership access may be suspended until the outstanding balance is settled.

3. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your monthly membership at any time from your member portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until that date. No partial-month refunds are issued.

Day passes and 5-Day Packs are non-refundable once purchased.

4. Access and Hours

Standard coworking hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Monthly Plus members receive extended hours, which are defined individually with each member. Hours are subject to change on public holidays.

Make Space reserves the right to close the space for private events, maintenance, or other operational reasons. We will provide reasonable advance notice when possible.

5. Studio Bookings

Monthly and Monthly Plus members may book private rooms, the photo studio, and the podcast studio through the member portal. Bookings are subject to availability and must be made in advance. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the booking start time to avoid forfeiture.

Monthly Plus members receive one complimentary hour of studio access per month. Additional studio time is available at the standard day-rate for all members.

6. Conduct and Community Standards

Make Space is a shared community space. All members are expected to treat fellow members, staff, and the space itself with respect. The following are not permitted on the premises:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
  • Excessive noise or behaviour that disrupts other members
  • Damage to the space, equipment, or other members' property
  • Bringing animals onto the premises without prior approval
  • Subletting your membership or sharing access credentials
  • Any illegal activity

Make Space reserves the right to revoke membership immediately and without refund in cases of serious misconduct.

7. Liability

Make Space is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property brought onto the premises. Members use the space and its equipment at their own risk. Make Space carries general liability insurance for the premises but does not insure members' personal belongings or business equipment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Make Space's liability to any member for any claim arising from these terms or the use of the space shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by that member in the three months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

Any work you create at Make Space remains entirely your own intellectual property. Make Space makes no claim to any work produced by members on the premises.

9. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the member portal at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of your membership after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
